An unmet need…
Many Catholic parents, students, parishes, and schools in the Bay Area have expressed the need for a new Catholic high school. There are 11 Catholic high schools in the greater Houston Area, by the Bay Area is in a stretch of approximately 60 miles between the two closet Catholic high school options.
In 2022, a group of dedicated parents and community members set out to determine what it would take to establish a local Catholic high school. With support from the Superintendent of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, this group conducted a thorough feasibility assessment of the Bay Area Deanery.
In spring 2024, the feasibility study was delivered to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and a presentation of the findings and recommendations made to the Catholic Schools Board. This was followed by a meeting with His Eminence, Cardinal DiNardo, Bishop Italo, and other leaders at the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
In late spring, approval to proceed with next steps in establishing a new Catholic high school was granted.

Guadalupe Radio Network’s Executive Director Wyatt Goolsby sits down with Ken Allinson, President of the Board of Directors, to learn more about the future Bl. Carlo Acutis Catholic High School.
Our Goal
Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus through a rigorous education rooted in the Catholic faith and Sacred Tradition and centered in the Eucharist. Recognizing all are made in the image and likeness of God, we form the whole person both spiritually and academically and build a community of fellowship, cultivating a desire to grow in virtue and become saints.
We are unapologetically Catholic.
We are academically excellent.
Forming Disciples
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.
Matthew 28: 19
- As a Catholic school, our vision is to form disciples of Jesus, through prayer, and frequent access to the sacraments – to form saints and lead students to Heaven, where we find true happiness. We steadfastly follow the teachings of Christ as our guiding light – conveyed in scripture and Sacred Tradition and proclaimed through the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, which has the fullness of Truth. In our school, faith is both taught and lived. We help students develop a personal relationship with Jesus, fall in love with Him and take up His Great Commission.
- We help students discover God’s boundless love for them, awakening them to their charisms and spiritual gifts from God, so they may serve others and know they belong to God, consequently their lives have purpose and meaning.
- We form the whole person, nurturing every individual’s spiritual, intellectual, and moral growth – instilling a desire to embody Jesus’ teachings and grow in virtue. We equip students with an ability to make ethical choices, guided by a profound understanding of the human person, the theology of the body and a respect for life, so they can approach the challenges of the world with truth, compassion, and responsibility.
- We are dedicated to helping students discern and answer the call to their vocation, recognizing everyone has a distinct path to follow in service to God and neighbor.
Academic Excellence
For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:6
- Our Catholic faith and Sacred Tradition are integrated into every aspect of our program, where faith and reason are harmonious, and our curriculum is enriched by the history of the Catholic church.
- We provide a transformative educational experience that inspires a sense of awe and wonder for God’s creation, a love for the True, the Good, and the Beautiful, and a lifelong love of learning.
- We enable students to pursue higher education if desired to earn a living and contribute to society in future professions.
- Our faculty are passionate about their subject matter. They encourage logic and critical thinking and use creative approaches to engage students.
- We place responsible limits on technology, and we promote learning through experience and opportunities for authentic engagement.
- The integration of our Catholic faith, rigorous academics, and inspirational teaching, encourages students to excel academically while remaining grounded in the faith.
Building Community
We, though many, are one body in Christ.
Romans 12:5
- We foster collaboration and fellowship among students, parents, staff, and the broader community.
- We believe parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. With the Holy Family as our model, we emphasize the significance of family in education and formation, and we believe homes should be places for education in virtue (CCC 2223). Faith, family, and education intertwine to shape students and witness to the world.
- We attract people by our joy that radiates from our faith, and we cultivate a sense of belonging, where students feel loved and supported. We work to evangelize the culture and instill a strong Catholic identity in our community.
- We aspire to make our education accessible to every student who seeks it, recognizing we cannot achieve this alone.
- Aligned with the Church’s teaching, we strive for all staff to be united in charity to one another and to students, “endowed with an apostolic spirit,” and “by their life as much as by their instruction bear witness to Christ.”
